SIANA 2009 - Semana Internacional de Artes Digitais e Alternativas

Semana de Artes Digitais recebe inscrições para mostra de trabalhos científicos 
 

Belo Horizonte é a primeira cidade do mundo a receber uma edição local da Semana Internacional de Artes Digitais e Alternativas (Siana 2009). Parte do calendário oficial do Ano da França no Brasil, o evento criado em 2005 pelo instituto Télécom & Management SudParis chega ao país numa realização conjunta da Cia. Luna Lunera e Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, com patrocínio da Oi e Usiminas através da Lei Estadual de Incentivo à Cultura. A programação inclui espetáculos, exposições, oficinas e conferências, com participação de artistas e pesquisadores brasileiros e franceses. Todas as atividades serão gratuitas.

Até o dia 14 de junho estão abertas as inscrições para a mostra de trabalhos científicos e reflexões artísticas relacionadas ao tema desta edição: "O Imaginário das Tecnologias Digitais". As propostas devem ser encaminhadas para o e-mail siana2009mostra@ufmg.br com título, nome do autor e um resumo descritivo de até 30 linhas.

Em sua terceira edição, a Siana 2009 foi iniciada em maio em Evry, na França, e será encerrada na China em outubro. O objetivo é exibir e promover a reflexão acerca das tecnologias digitais, seus usos e novas formas de arte, explorando a potencialidade do encontro entre a arte e as tecnologias de informação e comunicação através de dois eixos complementares: artístico e científico. O evento (cuja sigla mantém o termo original francês "artes numéricas") tem como público-alvo pesquisadores, estudantes, artistas, empresas especializadas nesse ramo tecnológico e interessados pelo tema.

	CARTOON COMPETITION FANTOCHE AND SWISS YOUTH HOSTEL
	To celebrate the 85 anniversary of Swiss Youth Hostels, Fantoche is joining forces with them to launch a unique competition. Everyone, whether young or old, professional or amateur, is invited to send us an animated film. We're looking for your animated film stories that play out in and around Swiss youth hostels. The animation film competition is being advertised worldwide. Within the walls of Switzerland's youth hostels, stories unfold every day, and sometimes late at night, that you'll remember your whole life long. Whether it's a true story or a made-up one, you can use all the techniques of animated film, draw the figures, model them or glue them, and animate them on your computer. The only condition is that your films must be no longer than 1 minute.  The public as jury A jury will choose the 10 most exceptional animated films. However, the ultimate winner of the competition will be chosen by the public. From 24 August to 13 September, you can watch and rate the selected films on the Swiss Youth Hostels and Fantoche websites, and at the Fantoche Festival itself. The winners will be treated to holidays in youth hostels in Europe and Switzerland. Here, you can download the entry form with all the details on format, the competition programme and the prizes. 	Sita Sings the Blues On 18 June at 8.15 pm, Fantoche partner cinema Kino Gotthard in Zug will be showing the Swiss premiere of Nina Paley's animated film 'Sita Sings the Blues', an extremely original and colourful blend of autobiographical elements and Indian mythology. We are thrilled to be bringing this work to the screen for the first time in a Swiss cinema. Fantoche is giving away 2 pairs of tickets to the Swiss premiere of 'Sita Sings the Blues' at Kino Gotthard in Zug. The first two correct answers will each win a pair of tickets.
